Essential reading for beginners

I recommend new players consider the following points: ① Utilise the game‘s aim assist, but avoid becoming overly reliant on it. Practise perceiving the true aiming point, paying attention to the angle of the shot and the point of contact. ② Learn to “read the table“ – scan the entire layout before striking. Avoid fixating solely on the cue ball. Identify the most straightforward group to clear and check for dead balls (those blocked by opponents‘ balls). ③ Always plan ahead for your next shot. Visualise the ideal position for the cue ball after impact before striking. Pay attention to force control: a light push, medium force, or a full strike will each determine where the cue ball comes to rest.
