Overall, it‘s a fairly typical zombie-themed survival shooter. The gameplay revolves around clearing wave after wave of zombies, upgrading weapons, and enhancing your character, with a fast-paced, satisfying rhythm. The early stages are actually quite enjoyable – the sheer number of zombies is balanced perfectly, making it neither too difficult nor too easy, with a satisfying sense of thrill, especially when mowing down large groups with a machine gun, which is incredibly cathartic. The arrival of each level‘s final boss creates a palpable sense of pressure, and correspondingly, the feeling of defeating the boss is truly rewarding. The weapon system stands out as a highlight. Different firearms possess distinct handling characteristics – some excel at suppressive fire, others favour precise headshots. Upgrades enhance both visual and auditory feedback, adding a satisfying layer of immersion. Level progression is straightforward and intuitive, with straightforward, linear stages requiring minimal complex mechanics, making it ideal for short bursts of play. However, its shortcomings are equally apparent. Firstly, the gameplay loop feels rather repetitive; by the mid-to-late stages, it essentially boils down to grinding maps, levelling up, then grinding more maps, with limited variety. Secondly, the progression curve feels slightly bottlenecked – later stages demand significantly more resources for upgrades, meaning progress slows considerably without grinding. Additionally, the camera rotation proves awkward, making it difficult to manoeuvre around enemies effectively. All in all, these flaws don‘t overshadow the game‘s strengths; the overall quality remains commendable.
